Always with us, our breath is right there ready to provide a steady strength.
Sometime today, wherever you are, eyes open or shut, take a moment to ride the rhythm of your breath. In and out, expanding and contracting.
Notice any small movements caused by your breath. Filling and releasing, nourishing and letting go.
Whenever your mind wanders, simply begin again until you feel calmed.
"I'm learning to be quiet with myself. The view is clearer through the stillness." ~Carol Franco, publishing executive
What does worry look like if you step away?
Take a moment to meditate on a worry. Settle yourself comfortably and focus on the rhythm of your breath.
As your body softens allow a concern to float into your mind. Capture the thought and put it on a shelf or table.
Put some distance between you and the worry. Walk around it.
Observe anything that may have been hidden and is now revealed.
Can any part of your worry be given its freedom?

"Whenever you're in a hot spot or feeling uncomfortable, whenever you're caught up and don't know what to do, you can find someplace where you can go and look at the sky and experience some freshness, free of hope and fear, free of bias and prejudice, just completely open. And this is accessible to us all the time. Space permeates everything, every moment of our lives." From The Pocket Pema Chödrön
